Verse a Day: the 5-year Christian journal with a Bible verse for every day

A one line a day journal built on Scripture. Each date has one verse and a few short lines for each year. Come back to the same page next year and the year after, and every page becomes a record of how God met you. Five editions, each with its own verses and its own month art.

Five editions · Paperback and hardcover

The same verse.

Five different years.

One Bible verse for every day of the year, and a few lines under it to write what it met in you. Next year you come back to the same page. The verse is the same. You won’t be. Five editions: for everyone, for women, for men, and two for the college years.

Verse a Day

366 verses, one for every date including February 29, in clear modern English. Undated, so you can begin on any day of any year.

How a one line a day Bible journal works

  1. Step 1

    Turn to today

Open to today's date. Every page has one verse at the top, chosen to give you something real to write about.

  2. Step 2

    Write a few lines

Not an essay. A sentence or two about what the verse met in you today, in this year's section.

  3. Step 3

    Come back next year

Same date, same verse, new year. By the last year you can read your whole story with God on one page.

Questions

What is a one line a day Christian journal?

A one line a day journal gives each date of the year its own page with a few short lines for each year. Verse a Day adds a Bible verse to every date, so each morning you read one verse and write a sentence or two about what it met in you. Next year you return to the same page and write under the same verse again.

Which Verse a Day edition should I choose?

Verse a Day is for anyone. Verse a Day for Women and Verse a Day for Men have verses chosen with women or men in mind and five years of space. The two college editions have four sections on every page, Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior, for the four years of school.

Do I have to start on January 1?

No. Every edition is undated, so you can begin on any day of any year. Just turn to today's date and start writing.

Which Bible translation does Verse a Day use?

The verses are from the World English Bible, a clear, modern English translation.

Is there a verse for February 29?

Yes. There are 366 verses, one for every date of the year including February 29.

Is Verse a Day a good Christmas or graduation gift?

Yes. The 5-year editions make a meaningful Christmas, birthday or Mother's and Father's Day gift. The college editions were made as a graduation gift for a high school senior heading to college, or for an incoming freshman.

What formats and sizes are available?

Every edition comes in paperback ($14.99) and hardcover ($24.99) on Amazon. Each is 6 x 9 inches with 386 pages on cream paper.
