During the battle of Gibeon, Asahel chases after Abner, the commander of Israel's opposing army, refusing to turn to the right or left. Abner twice warns the young man to stop pursuing him and fight someone else, but Asahel's intense focus and speed drive him forward. Tragically, his relentless pursuit ends in his death at Abner's hand.
